Most network administrators and Exchange Server managers often face the issue of database corruption, which when happens, stops the whole email dependant operations. It is quite evident that today most information is exchanged and transported via e-mails and therefore, it is the backbone of any system. Emails, when down and corrupted due to down Exchange Server and corrupted Exchange database, means nothing but business loss. Below given are the steps for using ExMerge utility for recovering data from EDB to PST

Double-click on the ‘Exmerge.exe’ file to run ExMerge utility
Here, click ‘Next’ for starting the ‘Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Wizard’
Now, select ‘Extract or Import (Two Step Procedure)’ option
After that, click Next

Select this option that states – ‘Step 1: Extract data from an Exchange Server Mailbox’
Now, click Next
Feed the Exchange Server name which holds the EDB file which is to be recovered
Click ‘Options’ tab if you want to select any additional options
Here, you can select all the desired options
Click OK for returning to previous screen
Again, click Next here
Select he database (s) which are needed to be recovered
Once more, click the Next button
Select the mailbox (s) that you wish to export
And then, click Next
Select default location
Click Next again
Select destination location to store converted PST file (s)
Click Next
You can either save these settings for future use or you can click ‘Next’ for continuing with the process without saving these settings. Saved settings can be later used for running ExMerge utility in the batch mode
Finally, click Finish
Exported PST can be found at the location you specified during the process
Second Solution (Recommended One): The easier, better and faster method to export Exchange database form EDB to PST Converter is to use the much easier, faster, and better solution, which is Exchange Recovery software. It is an external solution available at a nominal charge. It is save your time, energy and effort, which might go into trying the above method. Above mentioned method doesn’t work always, but if you use Exchange Recovery software, it gives 99.9% guarantee of successful results and flawless recovery of Exchange data.
